At B&B, we’ve recently added the Haas ST-20 with Automatic Parts Loader (APL) to our fleet – a significant step forward that helps us increase our turning capabilities, improve efficiency and deliver greater consistency for our customers.
So, how does it work?
The APL’s intuitive interface allows our machinists to easily teach the system where and how to load, unload and handle each part. This ensures precise, repeatable movement and minimal downtime between cycles.
Combined with live tooling and C- and Y-axis capability, the ST-20 can complete milling operations on components up to 150 mm in diameter within the same setup. Fewer setups mean greater accuracy, improved consistency and faster production across batch sizes ranging from 50 to 1,000 components.
The result? Longer uninterrupted production runs, greater repeatability and more efficient use of our machining capacity. For our customers, that means shorter lead times, consistent quality and the confidence that components will be delivered when they’re needed.
